no advance tickets left! make sure to turn up early to get one of the few on the door.
iiicecapades:

Dave Bailey has made a poster for the Ducktails show this Wednesday, Thanks Dave! Pay him a visit over here why don’t you?
Also, in late, breaking news:
Kindred spirits of Ducktails, the excellent Leeds based Spectrals are playing as Matt Mondanile’s backing band for this week’s tour.
Manchester drumming behemoth Pascal Nichols of Part Wild Horses Mane will likewise be sitting in with Zweiters for the night.
At this very moment, there are just five tickets left on wegottickets - so anyone planning to head down should snap one up quick to avoid disappointment, as there will be only a very limited amount of £7 tickets available on the door.
Hope to see you there!

DUCKTAILS // DOLPHINS INTO THE FUTURE // ZWEITERS

WEDNESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER,

TROF N.Q, THOMAS STREET.

Ducktails is the nom de plume of New Jersey boy wonder Matt Mondanile, purveyor of some of the finest hypnagogic-dream-pop out there and member of the bands Predator Vision and Real Estate.

We are seriously excited about hosting this show, not least because it seems to be Matt’s solo debut show as Ducktails in Manchester. A staggering fact when you consider the amount of time he’s been making music, and how influential the Ducktails project has been these last few years.

He is joined on the bill by touring partner Dolphins Into the future, aka Belgian tape artist and Skaters affiliate Lieven Martens, as well as Manchester ‘power’ duo Zweiters, featuring our own Ed Stevens aka Irma Vep and DBH (Dan of Burnst, Nasdaq etc..)

Click here for facebook and last fm groups. And here for £6 advance tickets

We put a show on. We took some admittedly rather poor photos on my phone, having forgotten to put batteries in the camera. It was pretty good, like.

Some snaps from our Parenthetical Girls / Former Ghosts / Irma Vep show last week.

Thanks to everyone who came along.

Review of the night can be found over here.

i don’t get how liza and my mother looked so similar when they were younger, and now, completely different. i guess i’m kind of glad.

it’s getting far too difficult to walk… i’d wear my red boots, if only i didn’t already look like i’m trying to channel paddington bear.

need to stop wasting time at the two in the morning creating bastardised versions of songs i like. five chords does not a musical talent make.

goodbye…

goodbye…

also, i made a frankly awesome mixtape/playlist thing for a friend the other day to celebrate it not being summer anymore by including loads of things that remind me of that particular season, even though i don’t even like summer that much. but yes, it had this song on it. which is lovely, and makes me think that maybe i do like sunny months after all.

(song is best coast - sun was high (so was i) )

(i’m just trying to post something from every category, i admit)
